Subject IP Conversion Update #6 Delay in GUS/APS MQM Testing. Wrap Up VPS Printing Conversion.
Effective Date 04/03/02
Notice Number CM#0218

Due to temporary problem this week in our test region, we have been unable to test with those firms who are migrating their GUS/APS files to MQM. As a result, those firms will get a one week extension to April 15th. However, if you have already tested, there is no reason NOT to go into production. To access GUS files, note the 3 options: 1) FTP Gets, 2) GUS-MQM, and 3) GUS RJE format (160 byte records) sent via MQM. For APS files, there will be 2 options: 1) FTP Gets and 2) APS RJE format (80 byte records) sent via MQM.

VPS Printing

All firms should be completing their conversion of print reports that were sent RJE to VPS. That includes Infopac printing as well. Therefore, firms should provide us with the User Ids for those persons that request infopac reports, so that we set up their routing to go to your IP print queue.

Data Files FTP

All data files should now be sent and received via the FTP server- 198.212.155.45. If you still have RJE in place because you are running parallel, you should move completely to FTP.

Completed Migration- Disconnect RJE and Leased Lines, Return CME Modems

If you have completed your conversion, you can disconnect your old leased line and modem connection to the CME. The circuit belongs to the firm, but the modems belong to the CME. Please return our AT&T Paradyne modems to us, so that you are not charged for the hardware. Furthermore, please let us know when you have disconnected the line from the modem, so we can remove the old profiles in our databases.

Old modems should be returned to CME Client Management, 10 South Wacker Drive, 2-North Tower attention Karen F. McCoy. If you are walking it over, please dial extension X3421 at the reception desk and we will receive your equipment.

If you have questions about your current status, are requesting an extension or for additional information please contact Karen F. McCoy, kmccoy@cme.com - (312) 930-4524 or Farris Oweimrin, foweimri@cme.com -(312) 648-4780.
